A TWISTED COASTER AFFAIR AT BUSCH GARDENS

Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Coaster Build-off Winner Announced

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (July 15, 2010) - A mother of two from Wayne, N.J., engineered a roller coaster out of crunchy pretzels to win the second annual Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Coaster Build-off Contest today at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va.

Jennifer Westcott used a variety of Snyder's of Hanover pretzels to build the winning coaster in three hours. The judges - experts in the fields of pretzel production and roller coaster construction - praised the winner for her attention to detail, accuracy and overall presentation.

Westcott was one of six finalists who earned a spot in the contest by building her own pretzel-coaster at home and submitting it to the Snyder's of Hanover website.

The finalists competed today at Busch Gardens using only pretzels, a glue gun and their own imaginations. Each had the same challenge - to build Griffon, the world's tallest and first floorless dive coaster.

Westcott had a plan to set herself apart from the competition. "We covered all different elements of the coaster as best we could" she said. For winning today's contest, Westcott received a four-pack of two-year, 2-Park passes to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, and a year's supply of Snyder's of Hanover pretzels. The estimated retail value of the grand prize is more than $1,200.

"We're having a great time at Busch Gardens," said Westcott. "We rode all the coasters and went to Water Country USA. My girls are loving it."
